• local and national bands will present a night of rock at the Center for the Arts
Sounds juvenile Mr. Bikini, The Dark, Hikuri Beach and Santa Candela will be showcased on Friday December 19 at the Centennial Plaza Arts Center of San Luis Potosi "Centennial" (CASLPC).
From 20:30, the shrill sounds of these four bands invade CASLPC facilities, providing a space for young contemporary music. This activity will cost 30 pesos.
Mr. Bikini is a band from Mexico City who calls himself "The King of the Surf". It is one of the most representative of this genre. This project began in 1999 with the idea of emulating the classic sound of surf music and instrumental rock and this entire era where popular culture was nourished by masked heroes, same reason why Mr. Bikini decides to masquerade as the wrestler's mask is something that gives identity to a people who seek its own face.
Since Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, "The Dark" began a September 11, 2004. It is a project focused on getting what consciousness and unconsciousness send, without a line parallel to anything.
Hikury Beach, is a band of surf / garage, San Luis Potosi, born in March 2004. The name comes from the Huichol Hikury, which in Spanish means peyote.
Kandela St., Potosi is a band that was formed with the expectations of creating new music to convey joy, awareness and respect. He has shared the stage with bands such as Sonora Atomic Santeros, San Luisito Tropical, Agent 33, Pa'Malanga, Hikury Beach Perishers Victoria Hall, bizarre, Crocodiles.
These bands are living together under one hymn called "rock" on a stage in the heat of an audience with rock spirit. Thus, the Arts Centre will provide space for these musicians to express themselves and young people who like this genre so alive and screaming.
