The Arts Center of San Luis Potosi "Centennial" revalues the methods and the importance of art education as determinants in the future of a community, and aims to strengthen the relationship between culture and society to encourage the artistic and cultural development, at once to spread the works of art.
The academic offerings of the Center for the Arts is registered as part of an innovative interdisciplinary educational model, and consolidated through professional programs, renovation and teacher training, introduction to the different artistic disciplines and generate public interest in visual arts, performing , musical, literary, new technologies, popular arts and crafts. All within a comprehensive program that fosters the creation, production, dissemination and research, linking networks and programs of cooperation between different academic and artistic institutions at regional, national and international levels.
For the quarter for January-March 2010, the academic offerings of the Center for the Arts includes courses, workshops and diploma covering various artistic disciplines, eg in the area of Performing Arts, the teacher will teach a course Carmen Correa ballet , there will be a theater workshop for children and a diploma in comprehensive stage II Interpretation, Visual Arts Workshops offer photography, graphic design, ethnography, lithography, intaglio, drawing and inking, screen and cartoons.
The area offers courses in Aesthetic Literature, History of Mexican Art, History of Mexico, narrative structures, Pedagogy in literature for secondary teachers, and text analysis workshops. Offer Area Arts and New Technologies workshops include electroacoustic composition, production video art, digital inks for comic and cartoons, Appraisal experimental video and film, Screenwriting, 3D modeling, among others.
It also highlights the degree in music pedagogy taught by Jordi Albert aimed at musicians, music teachers and other professionals interested in furthering arts education in teaching music. Of much interest was the degree in Art Criticism which aims to stimulate and guide the participant, providing a solid platform of knowledge and a different horizon of possible avenues of development in accordance with their particular interests and the broad and complex profile of the discipline .
Program graduates continue Practices Flight; stand the final modules of Production Workshop scenic and costume, for staging opera La Bohème, by Giacomo Puccini, ending with two functions 26 and 28 February 2010, at the Teatro de la Paz.
The enrollment period spans from 5 to January 20, 2010, from Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 14:00 and from 18:00 to 20:00 at the Center for the Arts in San Luis Potosi Centennial: Calzada de Guadalupe 705, Colonia Julian Carrillo.
