HAD GREAT SUCCESS ON EXPOSURE FUCKING NEIGHBORHOOD IN THE HEART OF THE ARTS
As part of the cultural activities of the iconic Mexican rock band Maldita Vecindad and the Sons of the Fifth Courtyard in San Luis Potosi, was exhibited with great success in Galleries 8, 9 and 10 of the Arts Center San Luis Potosi Centennial a new and exclusive collection of objects in the history of the band, which toured since its inception in the eighties to the present, which will be released her new album.
Notably, during the inauguration of the exhibition, attended by Sax, Pato and Kino, members of Neighbourhood Damn Sons of Quinto Patio, as well as general director of the Center for the Arts in San Luis Potosi, Deborah Chenillo Alazraki, David Bear Macias, director of Outreach and Programming Arts Center.
Since its appearance in 1985, Damn neighborhood has traveled the world and Latin America have been creators of rock classics in Spanish and "Pachuco", "Kumbala" or "Solin", besides having shared the stage with legends such as Bob Dylan, INXS or Sonic Youth.
The exhibition presents many precious memories and the passage of "Damn" through nearly twenty years, which places them as worthy representatives of our country, having left an important mark abroad. For example of this can be seen as part of the material dating from his promotional tour hit "Pata de Perro", in 1993, and that was presented in Spain, Sweden, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, United States, Italy, Denmark, Portugal, UK, Netherlands and Norway as well as the legendary House of Blues, having sold over 700 thousand copies of his album "The Circus", just in Mexico.
Original records with their covers, published on compact disc and vinyl, accompanied the team, which show in its original albums like "Damn Neighbourhood and the Sons of Quinto Patio," "Masquerade Ball or" show "as well as some simple, that emerged from them. Among the most attractive of the sample feature original costumes of the members, the pachuco suit with baggy pants, jacket and hat. The famous sunglasses and various outfits whose style has been marked in the national memory of the rock.
Promotion of live performances in various parts of the country, in various formats, were part of the artwork of the band, from the most traditional and representative, to the psychedelic designs, some others, with their characteristic humor, as a comic, always showing the personality of the "pachuco". The pictures, both live and studio were a fundamental part of this area, as they show the evolution on the one hand, and on the other, the essence that has been maintained since the founding of the group.
Memorabilia of all kinds, from the typical beach, to the awards for high sales between exposure highlighted: prizes, awards, thanks for your participation in dozens of festivals, for his long career, the record of municipalities, civic associations, of radio and television stations. Puppets with the physiognomy of its members, Roco, Sax, Aldo and Kino, hanged as ornaments, giving a sample of the impact of "damn" in popular culture.
