    The prestigious photographer Christian Poveda gave a workshop DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHY IN THE CENTER OF THE ARTS

    The prestigious photographer Christian Poveda who has extensive experience in photojournalism, with a guarantee of work to be sustained through publications like the magazine Le Monde and the recognized agency Vu 'l'agence, held a workshop and Documentary Photography Ethics.

    Among the activities provided for the projection of the work of Poveda, entitled "La Vida Loca", a documentary which presents the life of the Maras (gangs) of El Salvador. The screening will take place on Friday August 28 at 19 am in Room Audiovisual Arts Center.

    The update was to picture based Arts Center of San Luis Potosi Centennial, and developed in the framework of activities of the V Photographic Mexico that will take place from 3 to 5 September 2009.

    The workshop involved 16 photographers who come from Baja California, Puebla, Peru, Mexico City, Queretaro, Guadalajara and San Luis Potosi.

    In an interview conducted in the area of ​​Visual Arts to the Centre of Arts, French-Spanish photographer Christian Poveda, said it was a documentary photography workshop, but also addressed issues about journalism and other concerns that this generation of photographers.

I would emphasize that the workshop students were media workers, and are used to illustrate the works of reporters, and what was sought was to make them understand that documentary photography is a very personal, involving a precise view on the subject that is being presented.

    On his latest project, Christian Poveda explained that a few months ago I finish a job that took 5 years, the Maras, gangs of El Salvador, I made a video documentary, which was a ninety-minute movie called "The Vida Loca "and that's out in the halls of Mexico in October, and in the cinemas of France, from September 30.
